Singapore – Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP), a division of Discovery Communications, has appointed Charles Yap as vice president and Wong Ching Yee as manager of its regional communications team. Yap replaces Vice President Melissa Tham who is emigrating to the United States, while Wong replaces Director Charmaine Huet who is dedicating herself to parenthood.
Both Yap and Wong will be based at DNAP’s regional headquarters in Singapore. Yap assumes his role on June 11 while Wong steps in on today.
In his role as vice president, Yap will be responsible for overseeing strategic communications for Discovery across the region including media relations, public affairs and internal communications.
As manager, Wong’s key responsibilities will be to develop and implement effective communications and press strategies to help drive publicity for the company’s eight brands in Asia Pacific.
