MIPFormats Winner
Held on March 31, 2012, the MIPFormats Pitch competition saw five finalists drawn from 70 entrants from over 30 countries pitching their most innovative non-scripted entertainment format to a five-man jury.
Warner Bros. International Television Production, MIPFormats Pitch exclusive sponsor committed a €25,000 development budget for the winning entry, which went to Stuart Coxe of Antica Productions for his dating series Looking for Love.
MIPCube Winners
Content 360/MSN Viral Video Category
The competition is to find the best web-series, in partnership with MSN. The three finalists were awarded €5,000 to create pilots to compete for the award.
Content 360/Transmedia category
The competition is to find the best new transmedia fiction concepts. The winner was awarded €3,600.

Innovative companies from around the world pitched their business plans and prototypes to a panel of television executives, successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
MIPCube “TV Hack Day” Winner
Take 12 of the best developers “hacking” on television content, put them in a captive environment like a yacht (equipped with wi-fi, beds, food and drinks) off Gare Maritime in Cannes, for a solid 48 hours, and what do you get? – the MIPCube experiment called TV Hack Day! Kudos to MIPTV for the 2-day event that would produce the next big thing in social TV!

An inaugural award at MIPTV, four young and promising content producers have been honoured after being nominated by MIPTV’s historical clients and delegates as this year’s “New Producers to Watch.” If these hotshots look young, that’s because they actually are!
MIPDoc Winner
The MIPDoc International Pitch is opened to documentary producers looking for financing possibilities for their story ideas. The six best finalists pitched their ideas live in front of an international panel of commissioning editors and broadcasters on March 30, 2012. The winning doc, An Honest Liar from Left Turn Films, chronicles the journey of an 83-year-old former magician and escape artist who exposes the frauds perpetrated by psychics, mentalists, preachers and faith healers.
