London – Cartoon Network’s The Amazing World of Gumball continues its winning streak at international animation awards.

The series from Turner Broadcasting’s European development studio scooped two major honours at the British Animation Awards on March 15 in London – winning Best Children’s Series and also the children’s jury-judged Children’s Choice Award.

In making the decision, the judges described the show as “innovative and fresh, with clear stories and characters, all round entertainment and uniqueness.”

These follow three key victories at last month’s Kidscreen Awards, including Best Animated Series (Kids) in the Programming Awards, Best Animation Achievement in the Creative Talent Awards and Favourite Kids Program in the Viewers’ Choice Awards.
