ABC Commercial has licensed Cup of Dreams (1 x 60’ HD) to Universal Sports Network in the US, where it screened during prime time this month, in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup final. Written and directed by BFI-winner Julian Shaw, the documentary goes on an emotionally charged journey through the heart of New Zealand to explore why its national rugby team, the All Blacks, has not won a World Cup since 1987. The Screen Australia film, co-funded by Movie Network and Prime NZ, was in production for four years and features current World Cup superstars Dan Carter and Richie McCaw. Cup of Dreams has also been sold to Canadian Pay TV Cable Network Rogers Media, and to a number of international and domestic inflight entertainment services including British Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Emirates, and Virgin Australia.
