Casbaa, Hong Kong – Cartoon Network today announced a new dedicated high definition (HD) channel, the first amongst kids’ broadcasters in the Asia Pacific. Rolling out first in South East Asia from January 2012, Cartoon Network HD will offer content in native HD that includes a line-up of both original and acquired content. Programmes include the award-winning new series The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben 10, and Chowder. Sunny Saha, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, Inc., said the HD broadcast will offer a more quality experience for kids across Asia, who are increasingly sophisticated in their media consumption habits.
