Miami – Telemundo Internacional is seeking to increase exchanges and strengthen collaboration with major East Asian TV stations and national broadcasters, such as CCTV and Shanghai Media Group in China and SBS in Korea. In line with this, Xavier Aristimuño, Telemundo Internacional’s Senior Vice President of Sales and International Business Development for Asia, recently attended the China International Film and TV Programs Exhibition in Beijing, China and BCWW 2011 in Seoul, Korea. The network’s penetration of the TV market in China has been successful. It distributed many of its telenovelas to broadcasters in the region, such as Pasión de Gavilanes, Marina and Zorro, among others.
