MTV Southeast Asia is broadcasting a rock documentary, based on this year’s Music Matters festival in Singapore, on 4 October. The documentary, produced by Siren Films, features opinions from industry heavyweights and artists from around the world, including an interview with Canadian punk rock band Simple Plan. The film also goes behind the scenes of Music Matters for Japan, an initiative that aims to aid Japan Red Cross and Peace Boat, two non-profit organizations involved in rebuilding the disaster-hit country. More than 40 international artists took part by recording a remake of Coldplay’s Fix You.
