FIC changes colour in the Wild

September 15, 2011 by TVA Editor

Singapore – The Singapore feed of Nat Geo Wild is now available in all four official languages of the country on both its SD and HD channels. This is in line with Fox International Channels’ (FIC) efforts to localize more of its content in Asia. By broadcasting in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, the wildlife channel becomes the first TV channel in Singapore to offer multi-language options. Joon Lee, Senior Vice President, Content & Communication; and General Manager, Korea, Fox International Channels (FIC), told TV ASIA Plus in an earlier interview that “Localization or customization is a tool to break into each market…Foreign channels have finally learnt that for them to become anything meaningful, they have to be there”.
