Singapore – Starhub presented FooD.I.Y, a new application that, as its name suggests, allows users to access a library of recipes from world renowned chefs like Jamie Oliver, Paula Deen, Luke Nguyen and Rachael Ray who feature on StarHub TV’s food/lifestyle channels. TV ASIA Plus got to trial the application at its launch yesterday, which also featured LIVE cooking segments and tastings. Recipes come in both text and demo video formats, enhanced with customized user-friendly functions adapted for Singapore. The demo videos – around two minutes each – are shortened versions of full 30-minute episodes screened on channels such as BBC Lifestyle, Food Network Asia and TLC. FoodD.I.Y is a free app currently available only on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
