Singapore – Ratings for the premiere of House Season 7 cemented its no. 1 spot among international channels year-to-date, reaching 14.7 million viewers year-to-date in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, according to Kantar Media Singapore/Philippines and AGB NMR Malaysia (January 1 to May 9). The new season of House drew high ratings for the series when it premiered on May 3. AXN rose to the top of the charts as the no. 1 international channel among pay TV 4+ on the StarHub and Astro platforms in Singapore and Malaysia respectively (Kantar Media Singapore /AGB NMR Malaysia, May 3-5). The premiere episode drew many new eyeballs among pay TV 4+ especially in Singapore, with a lead-in growth of 331 percent and a timeslot increase of 75 percent, compared to the period from January to April 2011. House’s overall premiere performance during the first week from Tuesday to Thursday was impressive. AXN led the pack among all international channels during the broadcast of House, with 186 percent and 19 percent growth over previous season average in Singapore and Malaysia respectively. The series also resonates well among affluent and PMEB audience, with AXN claiming the top spot among all StarHub channels in Cable PMEB audience during the first week’s telecast.
