Singapore – Data from research firm Kantar Media shows HBO was the most watched English cable channel in the Philippines and Singapore during Easter. According to Kantar Media, during the holiday weekend, HBO was the highest rated cable channel in the Philippines (21-24 April 2011) and the highest cable movie channel in Singapore (22-24 April 2011). While The Scorpion King was the highest rated programme in Mega Manila, higher than other programmes from other local cable channels that weekend, and The Blind Side was the most watched English cable movie in Singapore. Among English movie channels in the Philippines, more viewers in Mega Manila were watching HBO than any other English movie channel during the Easter Weekend with nine of the top 10 programmes belonging to HBO. They include Rocky I to IV and the Asian television premiere of The Bounty Hunter. Also, in Taiwan all the top 10 English movies year-to-date are on HBO, with the most watched English blockbusters in Taiwan being The Blind Side, followed closely by Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, The Book Of Eli, Sherlock Holmes and Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, according to AGB Nielsen. HBO also lead in year-to-date ratings and share during prime-time across all English movie channels in Taiwan.
