Singapore – Disney Media Distribution (DMD) has established a program distribution team in Singapore with the appointment of Janet Eng as regional director, program distribution for pan-regional and South East Asia. Eng will report to Amit Malhotra, vice president, program distribution for the Media Distribution business at The Walt Disney Company (Asia Pacific) Limited. DMD has also relocated Emma Hu, senior manager of program distribution for South East Asia to Singapore from Hong Kong. This Singapore-based team will be tasked with the local oversight of the program distribution strategy of DMD’s television and studio content across all media platforms. The team will focus on building and cultivating relationships with media partners, as well as identifying and implementing revenue growth opportunities, especially in the emerging digital media space. Eng has worked in senior positions at MTV, Singapore Press Holdings and most recently Sony Pictures Television International. Hu joined Disney in 2002, based in Beijing, where she was instrumental in building franchise exposure and successfully growing the content sales business in China. In 2009, she relocated to Hong Kong to manage program distribution sales for South East Asia. She will report into Eng. Robert Tam will continue to be part of the Pan Regional and South East Asia team based in HK.
