Singapore – The lunch time crowd at Raffles Place witnessed some unexpected spy action when a group of 20 statuesque females thronged the Central Business District on an otherwise ordinary Thursday. Decked out in chic, identical white trench coats with red hats, matching stiletto heels and black oversized sunglasses, these femme fatales with their radio earpieces were seen to be waiting in line for a secret command. When cued, the agents were seen to be discreetly handling out name cards to passers-by, urging them to come forward with any information of the said ringleader. The operation, which lasted during the lunch hour, saw the spies disappear quickly into the gantries of Raffles Place MRT Station. Keen observers soon discovered that the operation, named “Operation Silent Mission” was a publicity call-out to viewers to tune in to Covert Affairs when it airs in Singapore exclusively on DIVA Universal. “We want to create awareness and bring a different experience out of TV. Whenever I see people taking pictures, I am very happy because this means it’ll end up on social media,” spokesperson for Universal Networks International said. The entertainment channel brings the thrilling romance drama to Asia every Thursday, 9pm.
