New York, NY – Sundance Channel will celebrate the world renowned Sundance Film Festival in Europe and Asia with a 10-day lineup of films spanning the Festival’s rich history. The event, which runs from 21-30 January and coincides with the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, will also feature premieres of selections from last year’s Festival, including the award-winning His & Hers and the nominated The Imperialists are Alive. Directed by Ken Wardop, His & Hers is a multiple award-winning documentary that combines observation and charm to tell a 90-year-old love story through the voices of 70 women in the Irish midlands. The Imperialists are Alive, directed by Zeina Durra, is a drama about a French Manhattanite making her way as an artist while juggling the sudden abduction of her childhood sweetheart and a blooming love affair. This retrospective lineup will provide a true taste of the artistic vision cultivated annually at the festival. Sundance-held in and around Park City, Utah each January-is widely considered the premier showcase for American and international independent film.
