Singapore – SPE Networks – Asia has grown its channel representation in Taiwan following a deal inked to represent advertising sales and provide certain channel services for Taiwanese local Chinese language movie channel, LS Time Movie. The agreement signed with Hong-Gi International Co., Ltd., owners of LS Time Movie, marks a milestone in Asia where SPE Networks – Asia becomes the first international channels group to represent and provide services to a local pay-TV channel. Under the deal, SPE Networks – Asia’s Taiwan-based team is responsible for LS Time Movie’s advertising sales, certain technical services, on- and off-air promotions, and communications. A 24-hour Chinese-language movie channel, LS Time Movie is widely available on more than 90 percent of pay-TV services across all of Taiwan. The channel adds to SPE Networks – Asia’s current advertising sales portfolio in Taiwan which includes AXN, as well as Animax. LS Time Movie offers films from Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, complemented by movies from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Bollywood, and Hollywood, localized with Mandarin or Taiwanese (Min Nan language) dubbing. Also coming to LS Time Movie is Japanese anime film Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, 2010 Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or entry and Korean thriller The Housemaid, as well as regional co-production A Singing Fairy starring Alec Su and Huang Shengyi.
