Singapore – AXN Beyond will serve up US TV drama series Camelot and Being Human within two weeks of their US premieres. On top of being among the first in the world to catch these new shows, AXN Beyond viewers across Asia will actually enjoy Camelot in the same week that the series premieres in the US. Being Human will debut just two weeks after its US broadcast, premiering as early as 2 February 2011, airing Wednesdays 9pm first and exclusively on AXN Beyond. An Irish/Canadian co-production acquired from GK-tv, Camelot is a period epic that brings a fresh storytelling approach to the legend of King Arthur, from romance with the Lady Guinevere to adventure with his loyal knights, set in medieval Britain. Being Human, a Muse Entertainment production for Syfy and CTV / Space (2010), and acquired from Zodiak Rights, is a re-imagining of acclaimed UK drama series of the same title written by Toby Whithouse and produced by Touchpaper Television, part of the Zodiak Media Group. Set in Boston, the new series follows three 20-something housemates who attempt to live human lives despite being a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost. The new acquisition deals come hot on the heels of AXN Beyond’s launch in Malaysia last August. The channel’s debut on Astro completed the TV network’s footprint in Southeast Asia, having already launched in key territories including Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. In all, AXN Beyond is currently available to viewers in a total of 13 territories across Asia.
