Eunice Yoon is to be based in Beijing as a correspondent for CNN Worldwide, it was announced by Parisa Khosravi, senior vice president of international newsgathering. Yoon, formerly the network’s Asia Business Editor based in Hong Kong, has extensive experience working in China and across Asia. The award-winning reporter will work alongside senior international correspondent Stan Grant and bureau chief Jaime Florcruz. Prior to taking up her position in Beijing, Yoon’s focus has been on business news coverage across the Asia Pacific region, offering live analysis and commentary. She has also reported on assignment in locations across Asia on major news events. She travelled to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea to report on what life is like living in one of the most heavily guarded places on earth, whilst from the world of politics she has interviewed political leaders including former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun and Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib Razak. Yoon has anchored and reported for several news organizations, including CNBC, Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and YTN of South Korea.
