Singapore – Members of SMART Alliance – ABS-CBN (Philippines), BBTV (Thailand), Media Nusantra Citra (Indonesia), Media Prima (Malaysia), and MediaCorp (Singapore) – launched the first regional contest – the SMART Alliance Pitch. Organised by SMART Alliance, the SMART Alliance Pitch aims to search for a winning television programme idea from the general public. Ideas are invited for television entertainment across various genres like variety shows, game shows, reality shows and so on. Shortlisted finalists will be invited for a face-to-face pitch in Singapore with judges comprising of media and broadcasting veterans from the five leading broadcasters in the region. The winning pitch for the entertainment programme or format will stand to win US$15,000 cash and the idea will be made into a television programme to air in the SMART Alliance.
