Endemol unveiled a line up of new ‘hybrid’ formats that cross over programming genres and media platforms. All will be available to the international market for the first time at MIPCOM 2010. Headlining this year’s portfolio is multiplatform hit The Money Drop – the nail biting TV game show that can be simultaneously played online at home. Also among Endemol’s highlights is Zoom a new format that fuses TV and social media. This social experiment sees five contestants followed by cameras 24 hours a day. They stay in their own home and follow their usual routine, making public every moment of their every day life. The fate of participants will be determined by a ‘Social Community Index’ which counts their popularity on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Timeline is an emotionally charged series which combines traditional reality TV with the classic game show format. Stuck in a Game Show is a series that crosses over reality and game show genres. Five contestants live on the set day and night and there’s only one way to escape – by winning the game. Contestants must eliminate opponents one by one in rounds of general knowledge questions in order to win a major cash prize and leave the show. Mipcom 2010 will also see Endemol further expanding its presence at the market with a new stand in the Lerins Hall (LR5.15)
