Hong Kong – Cartoon Network Asia Pacific is to launch GWEN, girls’ apparel and accessories. Featuring Gwen Tennyson from Ben 10, the collection is designed for active girls aged five to 12 years old. The Gwen Collection will make its global debut in Australia via national retailer Big W this month and will continue its Asia Pacific rollout throughout 2010. As part of the Gwen launch in Australia, Cartoon Network has enlisted the support of Olympic Gold Medalist Torah Bright, whose “can do” attitude and winning spirit reflects the core characteristics of Gwen. From bold graphic tees, hooded tops and dresses to pajama sets, each piece of clothing features the Gwen name and character motif in Gwen’s signature colors – blue, orange and purple. In addition to the currently available Gwen DVD series and the newly launched apparel line, Cartoon Network will continue the rollout of the Gwen Collection with a series of products in 2010. Fans can look forward to a wide range of accessories including shoes, bags and hair accessories; publishing titles such as story, coloring and activity books; home decoration; back to school gear; novelty collection including toys, games, puzzles and electronics; and outdoor gear.
