Asia – Global tyre manufacturer Bridgestone has chosen National Geographic Channel as its global media partner to produce and broadcast a special green documentary about driving as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to support environmental education worldwide. Bridgestone and National Geographic have co-produced a mini-documentary called Drive Green that encourages green driving practices. The three-episode series will premiere on National Geographic Channel and on www.ngcdrivengreen.com in April in Southeast Asia, India, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada. Drive Green addresses common questions from curious drivers, like How can motorists reduce their impact on the environment? What is the real result of overloading our vehicles, overusing the air-conditioning, or refusing to ask for directions? The program will also provide useful tips in choosing tyres and fuel, with emphasis on Asian driving conditions, inspiring drivers to make simple changes to their driving habits to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions.
