Cannes, MIPTV – Lee Raftery has been promoted to senior vice president, international marketing, Comcast International Media Group (CIMG), the announcement was made by Suzanne Kolb, president, marketing, news and online for E! Entertainment Television & The Style Network and Kevin MacLellan, president, CIMG and Comcast Entertainment Studios. Based in CIMG’s Los Angeles headquarters, Raftery is charged with spearheading all marketing efforts for CIMG’s channels that include E! Entertainment Television, The Style Network, G4 and Golf Channel, as well as leading the company’s international marketing teams in the United States, United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Raftery is also responsible for the development of international marketing strategies and plans for CIMG’s channel properties, program sales, as well as digital and new media content outside the US. In his new expanded role, Raftery will now oversee CIMG’s Los Angeles-based, on-air promotion team. Among Raftery’s most notable recent accomplishments include the 2010 Live from the Red Carpet initiative for E!, delivering the most watched season ever, as well as successful campaigns for E! News, The Soup and Keeping Up With The Kardashians in several key international TV markets. Also of note are Raftery’s launch campaigns for The Style Network in the UK and Australia. Prior to joining CIMG, Raftery worked for 10 years with leading global toy company Hasbro Inc., holding various senior level marketing positions. Previously, he held marketing posts with The Walt Disney Company, market research company Taylor Nelson Sofres, and Unilever. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Bristol Business School in the UK.
