London – Leading content distributor Digital Rights Group (DRG) has become the first distributor to launch a 3D catalogue with the new division – 3DRG. On the back of the sales success of The Queen in 3D at MIPCOM 2009, DRG will launch a further range of new recently produced 3D titles at MIP-TV 2010. 3DRG will be managed by Justin Judd, MD of DRG’s digital arm i-Rights. Under the division, the distributor will be looking to acquire programming produced specifically for 3D, as well as new 3D episodes of existing titles and remastered content. The award-winning animated short The Technical Hitch, which is currently in the process of being remastered for 3D, is the first title to be added to the catalogue. In the run up to a full launch at MIP-TV, 3DRG is looking to acquire and invest in a range of programming, including factual, animation, music, drama and sports lifestyle, focusing specifically on stereoscopic 3D content.
