Tokyo – According to ratings agency Video Research, Fuji Television Network won the overall ratings contest in 2009 for the sixth straight year. Fuji TV scored an average 13.5 per cent share in the golden time period (7-10 pm), a 13.4 per cent rating in primetime (7-11 pm) and an 8.6 per cent rating in the all-day category (6 am-midnight). TBS and NHK tied for second in golden time with an average 12.4 per cent rating, while NTV took second in primetime with a 12.6 per cent rating.
