Singapore – StarHub announced it has partnered SuperFights Pte Ltd to broadcast world-class Muay Thai action from the ‘Lion City World Grand Prix’ in Singapore. StarHub will air a delayed telecast of the three-hour event on SuperSports (StarHub TV Channel 22), via Demand TV and StarHub TV Online, as well as offer video streaming clips of all fights via Demand TV on Mobile to all StarHub Mobile post-paid customers. In addition, StarHub has also secured the exclusive broadcast rights for the 2010 SuperFights International Fight League with Championship fights in nine countries. Three World Muay Thai Council (WMC) world titles are up for grabs at the inaugural ‘Lion City World Grand Prix’ – Men’s World Heavyweight Championship, Women’s World Middleweight Championship and Men’s World Middleweight Grand Prix Championship. The ‘Lion City World Grand Prix’ will be held on 12 December 2009, 7pm, against a dramatic evening setting at the Marina Bay Floating Platform. Among other fights, viewers will witness three-time World Heavyweight champion, Ramazan Ramazanov from Russia defend his title against Canadian champion Simon Marcus. The first broadcast of the fight will premiere on SuperSports, Demand TV and StarHub TV Online on 20 December 2009 at 8pm, while video streaming clips of all fights via Demand TV on Mobile will be made available from 18 December 2009.
