Hong Kong – Tiger Gate Entertainment announced that action channel KIX and thriller/horror/suspense channel Thrill are now available on three platforms in Indonesia: Indovision, Okevision, and Aora. The channels are expanding their distribution as part of a strategy to serve the pan-Asian marketplace of more than 600 million pay-TV homes. As the first step in its planned territory-by-territory rollout, Tiger Gate launched KIX and Thrill in Indonesia on August 1 on Indovision and Okevision, the leading platforms of PT MNC Sky Vision, the pay TV market leader in Indonesia. Separately, on August 15, the channels launched on Aora, the pay TV platform brand of PT Karyamegah Adijaya, also in Indonesia. Further launches in Singapore and Hong Kong are expected before the end of the year, with other Asian territories slated to follow in 2010. KIX offers fast-paced entertainment for Asian audiences, including action, adventure and sci-fi programming, action reality shows, extreme sports, fight events and high quality movies. Thrill is a 24-hour linear movie channel showcasing top Asian and Hollywood thriller/horror/suspense blockbusters and TV series. Tiger Gate plans to go beyond linear TV in the future with plans for additional activities including live events, and next-generation media content and distribution.
