Dato Amrin, who is currently MPB’s Group Chief Operating Officer (COO), replaces outgoing Group Managing Director/CEO, Abdul Rahman Ahmad, who in May 2009 announced his departure from MPB after eight years of service upon the expiry of his contract on 31 August 2009. Dato Amrin will also be assuming all positions at the Group and subsidiaries level vacated by Abdul Rahman. Dato Amrin has been with the MPB Group for more than 8 years initially as the Chief Financial Officer of TV3, he was then appointed as MPB’s first Group Chief Financial Officer in 2003. During that period, he was involved in the acquisitions and restructuring of 8TV in 2003, ntv7, TV9, Hot FM and Fly FM in 2005, and the successful consolidation of the outdoor business through the acquisitions of Big Tree Outdoor Sdn Bhd, UPD and The Right Channel Sdn Bhd.
