Paris – Brian Goldner, president and CEO of toy and game giant Hasbro, Inc. will deliver a keynote speech at MIPCOM on 6 October 2009. Entitled ‘Becoming a Branded Play Company’, Goldner will outline how Hasbro has evolved into a $4 billion leader in children’s and family leisure time entertainment products and services, notably through its many ties with the film, TV and video game sectors. Goldner will share his vision for Hasbro’s joint venture with Discovery Communications, announced in May, that creates a television network and website dedicated to high-quality children’s and family entertainment and educational content built around Hasbro brands. The keynote will add perspective on the company’s increasing involvement in movie production, and in the video game sector, notably through its alliance with Electronic Arts, giving the publisher exclusive world rights to create digital games across key platforms including mobile, internet, PC and consoles, based upon Hasbro’s properties.
