Hong Kong – SPE Networks – Asia (SPENA) has secured placement for AXN on all three IPTV platforms in Korea. Having debuted on Korea Telecom’s Qook TV in November 2008, AXN is now also available on the basic package of LG Dacom’s myLGtv (channel 33), as well as SK Broadband’s broad&tv (channel 402). These agreements are part of AXN’s expansion plans in Korea since it launched there in 2005. Besides increasing its presence through platform agreements, AXN also upgraded its Korea feed to HD beginning in March 2009. With the two new deals, AXN claims the title of being the only international general entertainment channel to feature in all of Korea’s IPTV platforms.
