Singapore – At CommunicAsia, wireless infrastructure specialist RFS (Radio Frequency Systems) has expanded its partnership with Malaysian distributor C&C Universal Engineering Sdn Bhd to establish a bonded warehousing facility in Port Klang. The Port Klang facility will enter full commercial operation in mid-2009 and provide a central logistical hub from which RFS is ideally positioned to service its telecom customers throughout the Asia Pacific region. The facility will be run jointly by RFS and C&C, with the latter responsible for management of the warehouse, including site kitting and reconciling of stock and deliveries, and with RFS overseeing the distribution of goods in and out of the facility, forecasting supply requirements, and subsequent shipping to countries outside of Malaysia. The new bonded warehousing facility will also assist RFS in supporting onwards fulfilment to other countries in the region, providing a ‘win-win’ situation for all members of the cellular systems value chain.
