Seoul – South Korea’s information and communications technology (ICT) market posted US$73.1 billion last year, becoming the ninth-largest among the 30 OECD member nations, according to a report. The figure was a 6.7 percent increase from $68.5 billion dollars the previous year, according to the report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The global ICT market, which consists of hardware, software, computer and telecom services, recorded $3.78 trillion last year, including $2.25 trillion in telecom services, the report said.The United States topped the list with $1.06 trillion, followed by Japan with $350 billion. South Korea was trailed by Australia with $60.1 billion and the Netherlands with $55 billion, according to the report.
