The latest season of American Idol reached an estimated 21 million viewers across Asia. During both the ‘direct-off-satellite’ telecasts of Idol at 6pm and the primetime encores at 8pm, STAR WORLD was the No.1 English cable channel among adults in Singapore. When Idol aired in the Philippines, STAR WORLD was the top-rated General Entertainment cable channel among adults during both the 6pm and 8pm telecasts. In Malaysia, Heroes’ all-new third season enjoyed stellar ratings. Throughout Heroes’ run, STAR WORLD was the top-rated English (non-sports) cable channel among adults during its timeslot (Thursday, 10pm). Overall, Heroes reached an estimated 3.7 million viewers across STAR WORLD’s Southeast Asia beam.
