Montreal – Distraction has inked a deal for The Next Great Leader in Bulgaria. The format was just picked up by Bulgaria National Television, who intend to produce a six episode series with the air date tentatively marked for May. The Next Great Leader is the political reality competition format that searches for the next aspiring, political chief from a group of young adults who have to share their ideas for making their country a better and more prosperous place. Four finalists, chosen from a gruelling nationwide search, face-off for a cash prize and a coveted Fullbright scholarship, associated with a degree of academic excellence. In Germany, Tresor TV has picked up the rights to Distraction’s game show format DNA, originally from Europroducciones/ RTI Mediaset. The German production house has produced a full series of DNA, with major broadcaster WDR set to air it on April 15 in the 9pm slot.
