Hong Kong – STAR announced the launch of STAR Mandarin Mobile in partnership with digital media publisher News Digital Media and telecommunications company 3 Australia. STAR Mandarin Mobile is Australia’s first Chinese language subscription based mobile TV service and is available to 3 mobile users at A$1 (US$ 0.65) a day or A$4 (US$ 2.60) a month. For a start, the service features three of STAR’s top rated Mandarin programs – Blackie’s Teenage Club, Gossip Queen and The Cave. Donovan Castillo-Mohlman, VP, program strategy & development, STAR said, “We are excited about the collaboration with News Digital Media and 3 in Australia and look forward to rolling out more services soon.”
