Singapore – SPORTFIVE Asia has been entrusted with the marketing of Bundesliga’s broadcasting rights in Japan and Korea for October 2009 – December 2011. SPORTFIVE Asia will also be distributing the rights in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. In addition to this, SPORTFIVE has been awarded the territories of Belgium, France, Netherlands and Portugal in Europe. The German Bundesliga, one of the top products of SPORTFIVE’s portfolio, is growing in popularity in Asia especially since it has become the sporting home for numerous top Asian players. These include Japanese Shinji Ono at VfL Bochum, Makoto Hasebe at VfL Wolfsburg and Junichi Inamoto at Eintracht Frankfurt to South Korean Lee Young-Pyo of Borussia Dortmund.
