Singapore – The Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) has confirmed ESPN STAR Sports’ (ESS) Event Management has won the contract to organise the Singapore leg of the Men’s Hockey Junior World Cup to be held on 7-21 June 2009. ESS Event Management was appointed based on its rich experience in organizing large-scale sporting events through an integrated event strategy across multiple platforms and ability to create platforms for promotions such as sponsorship activation opportunities. Held every four years, the Men’s Hockey Junior World Cup is an international under-21 field hockey competition sanctioned by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The 2009 tournament will be co-hosted by Singapore and Malaysia and is the first time the FIH has accepted a joint-bid for any of its major world level events.
