Doha – Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC), the Pan Arabic edutainment channel, participated in the Asia Television Forum 2008 in Singapore to showcase its range of TV and multimedia programs to the participants and visitors. This participation allows JCC to have a fresh look at the latest in children productions of the leading international media corporations and production houses that gather yearly under the umbrella of ATF. In line of the upcoming preschool channel, JCC programming scope expands to deliver very specific content for the age group of three to six, and of those above seven, to include animation internationally co-produced, children series, game shows, and many others. Malika Alouane, director of marketing and communications at JCC commented, “JCC has always sought new perspectives in visual communication. The Asian market shows creative and clean line in the field of animation, and offers an appropriate television content that projects similar values to the Middle East market.” “We produce more than 45 per cent of our broadcast programs; through our participation in leading audiovisual exhibitions internationally we aim to achieve further reach for our content in other markets. ATF is one of the most influential TV trade events and we are sure it gives us the opportunity to meet with players from the same industry, as well as prospective associates and partners,” Alouane concluded.
