Singapore/Hong Kong – MTV Networks Asia has joined forces with Intel Technology Asia to kick off the ‘It’s time to Switch’ campaign. To enable climate conscious changes amongst the young a relevant everyday reality, MTV will air six Intel-recommended SWITCH tips on MTV Asia, MTV Indonesia and MTV Thailand where they can learn how they can personally make a difference using energy-efficient notebooks powered by the Intel Centrino 2 processors. MTV will also run a series of Artist Public Service Announcements (PSAs) from international and local acts ranging from Project E.A.R, Electrico, MTV VJ Taya in Singapore and Malaysia, Groove Riders, Thaitanium, Nui Wiriyapa, Daddy Dog, Knomjean, Jo Pop from Thailand to Nidji, Ari Lasso, Prisa, Asmirandah and Kaka Slank from Indonesia to help spread the message of the importance of environmental issues. MTV will ask viewers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand to connect with each other in conversation and action by uploading energy-saving tips in the format of write-ins, photos or videos on the bilingual (English and Thai) microsite. Intel will also launch a series of three 30-sec films on MTV Asia and MTV Indonesia featuring reactions from youth across Southeast Asia. The films – Efficiency, Mobility and Accessibility – are centered around the Intel Centrino 2 processor technology and shows how this Intel chip influences lives.
