Tokyo – GMA Networks has formed a multi-year marketing and carriage alliance with The New Media Group KK to bring its leading channels GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life into Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Korea, and other markets through the World On-Demand IPTV service. Launching December in Taiwan and Australia, and in subsequent months in other markets including Korea, the full subscriber offering will extend the World On-Demand’s growing line-up of Philippines television to the large community of Pinoy expats throughout the region. A wide variety of the most popular entertainment – from TV variety shows to hit movies – will also be offered to viewers through World On-Demand`s VOD service. World On-Demand`s community-oriented IPTV platform is available across major ISPs via The New Media Group`s CDN and IPTV middleware, and can be watched on both PC and TV with a single user account. GMA will join the platform together with other Philippines content brands including VIVA movie channel, Pinoy box office, NBN and the Regal movie channel, and with new channels in the planning stages such as VIVA Sports. The key content will be offered alongside international channels such as BBC World and Fox (in select markets) for the overseas Philippines community.
