Taiwan – FOX International Channels (FIC), the international pay-TV arm of News Corporation, has launched three of its channels, BabyTV, FX and FOX Crime, to MOD viewers in Taiwan. This marks the first collaboration between MOD and FIC. The new channels each target a different audience and are expected to drive a growth in new subscriptions across different demographics for MOD. Baby TV is the first channel ever designed entirely for toddlers and their parents. FX caters to the entertainment needs of male audiences. Its programmes include drama, comedy, reality shows and documentaries, with Emmy award – winning series like Mad Men making their debut on pay-TV in Taiwan. FOX Crime is dedicated to programmes with a crime and investigative nature. Ward Platt, president of Fox International Channels Asia said, “By working with Chunghwa Telecom’s MOD, we believe we will again demonstrate our strength in multi-platforms, and provide the Taiwanese viewing public with world class family entertainment via Chunghwa Telecom’s multimedia digital platform.”
