The premiere of the original live-action movie special Ben 10: Race Against Time on Cartoon Network received overwhelming response from viewers in Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Ben 10: Race Against Time premiered on Cartoon Network Australia on September 20 and set all-new records as the most-watched telecast in Cartoon Network history, averaging 125,000 viewers of all ages and also as Cartoon Network’s most-watched program of 2008 with kids 5-12. The movie premiere also rocketed Cartoon Network to a record prime time (18:00-22:30) share of kids 5-12 viewing in total metro homes. The movie also climbed to the top of the ratings charts in Malaysia. Ben 10: Race Against Time premiered on September 26 on Malaysia’s Astro, and ranked first, with an average of 4.21 tvr, across all Astro channels among Astro 4+, Astro 4-14, young kids 4-9 and older kids 10-14. Its premiere on Cartoon Network Philippines on September 26 outperformed all cable channels for cable kids 2-12, cable boys 2-15, as well as teens and young adults aged 16-24. The premiere of Ben 10: Race Against Time was supported by a communications campaign that encompassed every platform – on-air, online and off-air. As part of the campaign, Lee Majors who played Grandpa Max in the movie, traveled to Melbourne, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and Manila to announce the premiere of the movie.
