Kuala Lumpur – MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd (MEASAT) announced it had been awarded Regional Satellite Operator of the Year in the Excellence in Satellite Management Awards at the 12th World Summit for Satellite Financing in Paris. The award, which was decided by a panel of judges from EuroConsult, Satellite News and Satellite Finance, is awarded annually based on an assessment of the achievements and results of the world’s regional satellite operators. “MEASAT has invested significantly over the last five years to build a strong Asia-Pacific satellite presence,” said Paul Brown-Kenyon, chief-operating-officer, MEASAT. “We are delighted that the hard work and efforts of our staff, and the ongoing support of our partners and customers, has been recognized in this award.”
