London – Jason Binks has joined ITV Worldwide as vice president of digital and new media. Reporting to Steve Gallant, director of global content publishing, Binks’ role is to develop the company’s digital business and create further opportunities within the international market. Binks will be working across all aspects of digital rights, including DTO (Download-To-Own), DTR (Download-To-Rent), and VOD (Video On Demand). He will also support the television and home entertainment sales teams at ITV Worldwide and deal with technology companies in this new environment. Binks joins from ROO Media, where he was senior sales and distribution director for Europe. Binks has previously held business development roles at Groove Mobile, Hyperlaunch New Media, Buongiorno and DX3 Technologies. Gallant comments, “We are delighted to welcome Binks to join our team. His wealth of experience and contacts will enable us to really ramp up our activity in the digital space, particularly with regards to our international business.”
