Kuala Lumpur – Media Prima Berhad (MPB) has appointed Dato’ Gumuri Hussain as the audit committee chairman and independent non-executive director on the board. He currently chairs SME Bank and Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia Sdn Bhd, sits on the board of Kurnia Setia Bhd and Metrod (M) Bhd, and is a member of the Securities Commission. Dato’ Gumuri Hussain was previously CEO and managing director of Penerbangan Malaysia Bhd from 2002 to 2004. Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman Ahmad, group managing director/CEO of MPB, has stepped down as a member of MPB’s audit committee.
