Cannes/London – Fox International Channels has closed a deal with Portman Film & Television, part of the Digital Rights Group (DRG), for Australian gangland drama Underbelly to broadcast on Fox-branded channels worldwide. The 13 x 1hr series, produced by Screentime for Nine Network in association with the Film Funding Corporation of Australia, will air on Fox-branded channels in more than 50 territories worldwide including pan-Asia, Korea, UK, Italy, Balkans, Portugal, Russia and Turkey. Underbelly tells the story behind Melbourne’s decade-long war between rival factions of the city’s underworld. The series is currently airing in Australia to top ratings in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
