Sydney – Beyond Distribution will showcase at MIPTV 2008 a mix of factual entertainment, docu-drama, reality, lifestyle, returning series and documentary features from international producers including MTV, Red Apple Entertainment, Paperny Films, Force Four Entertainment and Atlas Media Corp. Jetstream (8 x 60’) is a fighter pilot series chronicling trials of an elite group of Air Force fighter pilots training to fly the new F-18 Hornet. The Paper (8 x 30’) is a fly-on–the-wall reality series following the editors of a high school newspaper as they struggle to produce the publication while balancing school work, family, and friends. Tube Tales: TV’s Real Stories (26 x 30’) features the real people, places and events behind television shows including Beverly Hills 90210, The Simpsons and Baywatch. Chef School (13 x 30’) a behind-the-scenes food series which is kitchen boot camp and finishing school as students learn French cuisine and haute cuisine and are eliminated by the Stratford faculty. In HD is science and technology series Cool Stuff: How does it work (7 x 30’) produced by Beyond Productions that examine technologies beyond the average. Fink (13 x 30’) follows culinary arts teacher Paul Finkelstein at Northwestern Secondary School in Stratford Ontario., who demonstrates how food affects every aspect of the students’ lives. The Best of Australia (8 x 60’) features original footage of the people, national parks and culture of Australia. Atlas Media Classic Catalogue (80hrs) is a mix of documentaries in various genres. Also on offer are dramatic documentary features which include, The Suicide Tourist (1 x 60’ and 1 x 90’) which examines the controversy over a person’s right to euthanasia with a focus on Swiss organization Dignitas which grants legal assisted suicide. Sperm Wars (1 x 60’) explores the studies on falling male fertility rates. Riverdance Today’s Stars (1 x 60’) is a documentary on the life stories of the current touring cast of the Riverdance dance troupe. A Bronx Dream (1 x 60’) is a look into the lives of 32 children from a public school in the poorest districts of the Bronx in Ireland.
