Singapore – The Asian Food Channel (AFC) has launched in the Philippines Feb 1, 2008, on the country’s dominant pay-TV provider Skycable. The 24-hour channel’s launch follows previews of the channel via programming blocks that aired previously on the service’s Lifestyle channel. The Philippines is the fifth regional market that AFC is airing in, adding to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore where the channel is already available. AFC provides an Asian perspective on various food-related topics with a mix of home-grown and acquired programming with a focus on Asian food culture and heritage.
