Sydney – FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has collared international rights to Satisfaction, a steamy new Australian drama set in an upmarket brothel. Created by Roger Simpson (who produced Stingers, Halifax fp, Good Guys, Bad Guys with his former producing partner Roger Le Mesurier), and produced via his new banner Lonehand Productions, the 10 x 1 hour series was commissioned by the Showtime movie network. Featuring Diana Glenn, Peta Sergeant, Kestie Morassi, Bojana Novakovic and Alison Whyte, the series focuses on five ‘high class escorts’ and their manager as they juggle their private lives with their hidden profession. Satisfaction will premiere on Dec. 5 as one of the opening week attractions on Showcase, Showtime’s new channel dedicated to original US and Australian drama, independent movies and documentaries. David Ellender, CEO, FME said, “With the demand for distinctive drama always high, Australia has proved, once again, to be at the forefront of creating innovative shows that capture an audience’s imagination.”
