Munich-based media group Telcast GmbH has promoted Angela Richardson to Head of Sales. She joined Telcast as Head of Acquisitions in 1998 and has managed several regions including Asia, Africa and The Middle East, which opened up new markets for the company. She played a key part in setting up the Dubai office serving the Middle East and the partnership with African Eye in South Africa. Richardson takes over the sales responsibilities formerly handled by Tom Thiemann after he left the company. Telcast’s earthTV, with 70 camera locations around the world, serves broadcasters and portals worldwide and claims to have the biggest reach of any European based TV product, at more than 2 billion. Thomas H. Hohenacker, President and CEO of Telcast, said Richardson will “coach and guide” the sales and distribution team, including its agent network.
