Tokyo – The New Media Group has announced a tie-up with Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world’s largest Christian broadcaster, bringing up to four of TBN’s channels to Japan and East Asia for the first time. TNMG will launch TBN’s channels on its IPTV platform World On-Demand, which currently serves more than 5,000 users in Japan. The launch is scheduled for late November. “We are happy to enter into this agreement, it’s a landmark for us to offer Christian content to the vastly underserved markets of Japan and East Asia,” said Randy McGraw, President of TNMG. “Christians in this part of the world really don’t have content options, which is surprising as the communities are large. Our platform welcomes all communities and allows Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, and other religions to find content suitable for their homes, lives, and communities.” TBN President Paul Crouch said the company looks forward to expanding into other Asian countries with TNMG.
